CHOI Eun Chul, president of MACROAD, explained, "We have been growing rapidly by 70 ~ 80% every year since our establishment in 2004." He said, "In the past, we mainly used rubber bearings for seismic reinforcement, but in 2009 we focused on the development of a pendulum type seismic isolation device to prepare for possible fears of manufacturing and earthquakes in Korea." After completing the technical upgrades for several years, it has successfully commercialized a friction-pendent earthquake-isolator (FID / FIP-D) with its own technology and supplied it to the market. It is also attracting attention that it has diversified its business not only in bridges but also in various civil engineering and environmental fields. MACROAD is has proved its SUPER WAVE noise barrier panel as 1ST grade rate in the field of noise barrier. Noise barriers including panel of such quality are installed in various places in Sejong City and all over the country. In addition, SPHERCAL BEARINS and FRB for railway were designated as excellent products for procurement. On the other hand, last year, the company has been developing new non-slip joints for bridges and seismic tunneling noise barrier, completing the patent registration and steadily improving its competitiveness.
