Pot Bearing (PB)
The pot bearing is a bridge bearing with the top plate accommodating vertical displacement, vertical load the rotational displacement with the rubber pad inserted into circular sealed container made of steel.
The horizontal displacement generated by external environment, such as temperature change, accommodates the displacement through the sliding of the stainless steel plate attached to the base of top plate and the fluorine resin plate(PTFE) attached to upper part piston, and also accommodates the rotational behavior through elastic deformation of rubber material.

• Excellent stability of rotation due to low bearing height
• The eccentricity of load is small because the rubber pad in the container distributes vertical load evenly over the upper structure
• The larger the upper vertical capacity, the greater the cost-effectiveness, compared to other bearing, which is advantageous for steel composite bridges and long bridges.
• Designed to a maximum capacity of about 5000tons, with a maximum horizontal displacement of about ±300mm
• As it is an incompressible type, no sagging occurs
