Drain belt Membrane Finger Joint (DMF)
The waterproof membrane finger joint is an expansion joint in which a U-shaped waterproofing material is installed at the lower part of joint clearance to make the stormwater, flowing into the gap of upper finger plate, guided into a stormwater gutter at a lower level and drained
1. Problems of existing finger joints
• Loss of waterproofing sheet and waterproofing functions due to the load of foreign matters accumulated in finger gap
• Corrosion of waterproof sheet due to chemical reaction caused by foreign matters, shortening the durability life of bridges
• There is no way to repair damaged waterproofing material.
• Periodic cleaning is required for removal of foreign matters
• Increased costs of construction and maintenance due to installation of separate stormwater gutter
2. Features of drain belt membrane finger joint
• Finger plate and waterproof material support plate are divided and assembled, increasing the ease of installation and maintenance
• Easy replacement when waterproof material is damaged due to foreign matter
• Applicable to all sizes, regardless of the amount of expansion
3. Shape of drain belt membrane finger joint
